We are looking forward to welcoming you to Seasons Kitchen and we strongly advise booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment.

Our food service times are:

08.30-10.45 – Breakfast
11.00-12.00 – Light Bites 
12.00-14.30 – Lunch
14.30-16.30 – Afternoon Tea served Wednesday-Saturday– Booking is essential- Please call 01276 408 550
18.00-19.30 – Dinner is served Thursday-Saturday only

Due to the latest COVID 19 government directive and regulations, we must kindly ask all our guests to promptly vacate the building at 10 pm

On Sundays, we serve Breakfast & Light Bites from 9.00 am until 12.00 noon and Sunday Lunch from 12.00-14.30

Dan Lee, Head Chef

Dan Lee, Head Chef

Combining his decade of experience in fine dining with his love of Surrey’s finest produce, Head Chef Dan Lee has collaborated with Surrey Hills Butchers to design the ultimate modern, seasonal British menu – bursting with fresh twists that will surprise and delight.

Dan started his career at the tender age of 19, studying his craft at Westminster Kingsway College in London before becoming first commis at the prestigious Hand Picked Hotels.

From there, he became chef de partie at Brooklands Hotel in Weybridge under locally renowned Nick Sinclair, before moving into the role of junior sour chef at Burford Bridge Hotel’s restaurant, Emlyn.

True to form, Dan progressed quickly, becoming sous chef at five-star luxury hotel Penny Hill Park. Here, he was promoted to head chef of their Brasserie restaurant.

Now, Dan is thrilled to head up the Seasons Kitchen at Lavershot Barns. Our ethos perfectly aligns with his: working in partnership with small, local producers to showcase the very best our area – and the UK – has to offer.

With creations lauded by The Sunday Times, who placed her desserts in the top 10 in the UK, it goes without saying that Ellen de Jager is an incredible talent in the world of pastry and patisserie.

Inspired by grandmother’s farm cooking, Ellen completed an intensive training course at Christina Martin: a private chef school in South Africa. After moving to England, Ellen started her career at The White Room in the Seaham Hall Hotel, Durham.

She then progressed to work for Nigel Howarth at Northcote Manor, for the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire in the Michelin-starred Burlington restaurant at the Devonshire Arms, and – following a relocation to Jersey – at the renowned Bohemia, one of the top 15 restaurants in the UK.

For the last eight years, Ellen has worked alongside her husband and is proud to spend her spare time fundraising for charities close to her heart.

Ellen’s journey has brought her back to England and to the Seasons Kitchen, where she will develop beautiful freshly baked goods alongside Head Chef Dan Lee.
